Community Art Sculpture

Community Art Sculpture

We are currently reviving the old community art sculpture. Unfortunately during lockdown the became rotten. We have received funding and are at the stage of contacting wood carvers to get quotes. Watch this space and “Shuggie” the seagull will again be atop the pole. A landmark for all to navigate by in Seaton.

The original totem pole was put up in 2003, by a team of first nation wood carvers of west coast of Canada, we want to reinstall the wooden sculptue, respectfully reviving the instalation with a Scottish perspective.

This was a Scotland wide project with cultural context funded by the Scottish government.
